Horizon Report 2010

One Key Trend in the Horizon Report 2010 is people expect to be able to work, learn, and study whenever and wherever they want to. I agree with what the Horizon Report said concerning this. Technologies such as Mobile Services, Mobile Internet, Smart Phones, IPad, IPod, etc. etc. allow people to work, learn and study whenever and wherever. These things provide great mobility. Economically people are able to work anywhere. These technological innovations make life flexible and it provides freedom dealing with mobility. We are no longer locked down to a location or a time. Even cloud computing allow an abundance of freedom of no longer a slave to one location we are able to access information from anywhere there is Internet Access.

New Agora Overview

This study has the ability for people to
gather together and identify strategies
for the future.  The New Agora is a market
of great ideas that deals with the Technological,
Economical, and Cultural Aspects of tommorrow.

The steps in the Definition Stage of Inquiry shows you
the steps that will be necessary in adapting and transitioning
smoothly into the future. Each step shows what people who
gather together and identify the needs of society for the future
cover and the steps that they use in order to put a plan in effect.

Technology's Promise - Chips embedded in the brain to repair.

I have read several articles dealing with chips embedded in the brain and I believe that in about 20 or 30 years Technology Promises a chip that will deliver repair to a lot of the problems that the brain encounter.
In our global world today, we take for granted the use of our all of our vital senses.  To see, hear, touch, smell and taste are things we tend to forget about that are so very important to the quality of our lives. Economically it is hard but I have a few family members who are deaf and they get around very well but would benefit much more financially if they could repair certain senses.  I often think to myself that the direction in which technology is going I believe someone will create a chip and embed it in a person’s brain that correct different levels of deafness, blindness and other abnormalities that affects in any way the five senses.  In fact, there are studies that are in the beginning process that show great promise.
Modern Technology is changing the way our brain work, says neuroscientist.
Of course animal and some human testing may be risky. Finding funding could vary because of the danger of experimenting on a brain, particularly the human brain.

Privacy and Surveillance in Web 2.0

Considering a more contextual notion of privacy in the Web 2.0 universe, the fact remains that many users of the systems openly share streams of personal information, while also surveilling the personal information made available by friends and strangers alike. Instances of peer-to-peer surveillance, amateur data mining, etc abound in the Web 2.0 world

Smart phone to replace the wallet

Smart cell phones will likely become a primary interface with the Internet. This will be economically a good move because if you don't have cash or credit cards on you then you tend to spend less. Financially this is always a good decision to not overspend. The cell phone is possibly the most significant invention of this century, almost like the automobile was in the last century. Cell phones will change how we live and think. I think we'll start to see more of what's happening Global in Japan and Korea, where mobile phones will replace our wallets and we'll be a cashless society. We'd be able to pay for things by simply waving our phones in front of a payment terminal. From a location perspective, phones are getting smarter in knowing where we are, so we may move into a future where we use our phones to shop.

The Delphi Method is more suitable for this innovation

A microwaveable controlled chip that you can press on certain areas of the body that contains excessive fat and the chip will burn the fat off within seconds. This would be a Technological success economically, physically, mentally and spirtually.
Two forces that supports this would be research on animals and research  and development of the needed materials for the chip
Open collaboration is very important because much needed different point of views because the procedure could be potentially dangerous.

The Delphi method would be appropriate here with experts chosen from all related fields
